Moving to Gmail

Posted by Stuart at 03:54 PM on April 07, 2006

The oldest saved email in my Yahoo email account is from June, 2000. Almost two years ago I started using Gmail (Google eMail) a little bit, but recently I have found myself relying on it more and more. I orginally posted my Gmail Review on this site, but now that I am using it almost full-time now, I thought I'd give another review.

Good things about Gmail:

OK, what are the bad things about Gmail:

Hmm. That wasn't a very long list. And that is why I find myself moving from Yahoo to Gmail. So, if you have my Yahoo email address in your address book, feel free to update it to Gmail. That's sgtowns AT gmail DOT com. Oh, and I also have a lot of invitations to Gmail. If you want to try it out, send me an email at the address above and I will be glad to give you one.

Newluxe, I haven't tried the Windows Live Mail Beta. Is it available? I hate Hotmail so much that I would be very reluctant to try it, unless someone recommended it. Have you tried?

Yes I have tried for 2days, 1 night. I think it works pretty good, faster and easier to read, delete and a few other things. I think Thai fonts dont work there though..not sure but whenever i tried to read mails(in thai) from my friends it comes out in Chinese fonts...any ideas whys that? oh and btw, on stickman website has pretty much all the spots in Bangkok and Pattaya where you can use ur Wi-fi..(not sure if u've seen it but will c&p to ur email ...

Hey Stuart, Don't forget, Yahoo has a beta of its new mail client that is worth a try. Its a bit heavy though, takes a while to load up compared to gmail. But would be worth a comparison.
