River Carvings 1 in Angkor Wat
August 17, 2002
Immediately after the water flows over these carvings, it goes underground for a few meters at a natural bridge called Kbal Spean. It then reappears and the entire river bed for the next 100 meters is carved with lingas. The same creation story shown here was also seen in the famous lintel of Phanom Rung, Thailand.
