Tiny Taxi in Laos

On the way back to the Lao-Thai border from Pakse, I first sat in a songtaew and waited for it to be filled. It was hot, and frankly I lost my patience. So I thought, I'll just take a taxi alone and leave NOW, even if it costs more. So I walked over to the taxis and they pointed to a taxi that was full of Lao people. What the heck, I thought, as I squeezed into the front seat with a Lao guy. Can you believe that we fit 8 passengers in this tiny car? And the 45 KM ride only cost about US$2.
