Sandbox in Vientiane

Kids all around the world love to play in the sand. Here they build sandpiles on the dry-season beach next to the Mekong in Vientiane, Laos. During the rainy season, this beach is underwater, but now, per treaties between Laos and Thailand, Laos has claim over any land that appears when the river receeds.
