Mosque in Malaysia
October 18, 2003
The main mosque at the heart of the Malaysian capital of Putrajaya. This building was absolutely huge and breathtakingly beautiful. It is right next to the main parliament building, underscoring the fact that there is no separation of "church" and state in this country. Unfortunately we were unable to go inside because they were conducting prayer services (for Muslim's only). But we did enjoy the food court and outlet mall on the lake's promenade below the mosque (in the lower right hand corner of the picture) with a nice night-time view of the "Vision 2020" bridge from the promenade.
