Facilities in Khon Kaen

Here is a view of the hong nam (water room) on the right and the rice storage and kitchen area on the left. I have seen a similar outhouse setup, but this was the first time I have seen a wooden structure used to store the rice under lock and key. Now that I think about it, rice is life here, so it makes sense that there is a special, secure place for it. This picture was taken from the house. [Khon Kaen, Thailand]
