Khorat in Khorat

During the reign of Rama III, Khun Ying Mo helped rally the people of Khorat to repel an invasion by a Laotian army. She has become the symbol for this area, and her statue at the western gate of the old city has turned into a shrine that always has a crowd of locals around to pay respects.
