Friendship in Nong Khai

At a restaurant in Nong Khai, Thailand, I had a nice view of the Mekong with Laos on the other side of the river. From here, there are two ways to get to the other side of the river: One can take the boat shown or one can go 2 KM down the river and take a bus across the Friendship Bridge. Interestingly, this bridge is only one of two along the entire length of SouthEast Asia's biggest river. (You can barely see it in the distance in this pic.)
