Bag Boy

Posted by Stuart at 02:35 PM on September 18, 2003

peapod.jpgOne of the teachers at my school was doing a case study on Peapod.com in his Marketing class. So he points his web browser at peapod.com, and the students yell out "Ajarn (teacher) Stuart!" The teacher looked at the webpage and the picture of the bag of groceries, and said something humorous about my past experience as a bag boy.

I don't think the guy looks like me. Of course he is handsome and suave like me, but I think that's where the silimarities end. In any case, I'll let you decide for yourself. (Click on the pic for a larger version.)

dude.. you have a twin!
I've always thought I had a twin.. I guess all you have to do is order something from Peapod... and poof.. your twin will arrive.

He doesn't look as hairy as you.... but the mouth/smile are dead on.

Ya, Peapod is still going strong here in Chicago (they're headquartered here in the Suburbs) but the delivery dudes have yet to look like this one...

You are much better looking than that guy, and more intelligent looking. too! Some people would say that I am biased, but to tell the truth, I am just honest.

My initial reaction was the same as Jase's: Peapod is still in business?! I guess we both had the experience of watching Webvan's spectacular crash and burn in the Bay Area a couple of years ago.

It's always funny to me to see which of my posts get the most comments. I appreciate the compliments (and the non-compliments, like "he looks younger"!), but I don't think the results are very scientific considering 2 comments are from immediate family members and 2 others are from ex's. haha!
