Holiday in Hua Hin
Posted by Stuart at 06:48 PM on July 31, 2004Not that I need much of an excuse to leave Bangkok and visit other parts of Thailand, I decided to take a 3-day Buddhist Holiday weekend and go to Hua Hin, a supposedly sleepy little beach town / fishing village south of Bangkok.
So, Piyawat and I drove the 3 hours south from Bangkok to Hua Hin this morning. Apparently, Hua Hin isn't so sleepy on a holiday weekend. After arriving, we spent the next three hours looking for a hotel. We finally found one, and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for: close to the middle of town and not too expensive (1200 baht). The bonus is that it has Internet access in the room (where I am typing right now).
Tonight we will visit the famous night market and see what a holiday weekend in Hua Hin has to offer.
pictures for those not accompanying you ??
lol.
hua hin is always a nice break away from bangkok. be sure you leave plenty of time for the drive back though- on these three day weekends the traffic heading back to bangkok can be pretty bad, especially if it rains.
have fun!
Hua Hin is a beautiful beach town and also has quite different atmosphere unlike my ( and maybe someone else's too ) Samed. The beach is quiet and peaceful, such perfect weekend hideaway.
Hope you have good time ;-)
I'm back!!! HAHA!!! :-)
What? You? Travel? Nonsense!
I am glad you had a nice sleepy visit and a relaxing weekend .....
Got lots to catch up on - don't I?
Love you!!!
The market. You got to go to the market, in the very middle of Hua Hin. I love the food there! :)
