Driving Through Toxic Fumes on my Motorcycle
Posted by Stuart at 12:46 PM on April 22, 2005After one full day of riding the new bike around town a bit, I'm finding out that it's really not so bad. Traffic moves very slowly, for the most part. And the fact that everything just kinda flows together makes it not too difficult to drive.
The difficult thing, however, is breathing. I think my lungs are now filled with black smoke belched from old busses. When driving in the car, I never had to worry about the pollution, but this morning I was behind a bus pulling out of a bus stop and I thought I was going to die. Not from the traffic, from the exhast.
Maybe they sell helmets with built in air filters. If they don't, they should!
Or even a surgical mask should help - at least some .... oh - but then people may think ... Bird Flu!! YIKES!! hmmmmm --- need to ponder over than one some more. :-)
Or even a bandana tied around your head to cover your mouth and nose ..... oh - but then people may think .... He's here to rob us!! YIKES!! hmmmm ---- I'm sure a better option is available .....
hehehehe
Yes - been inside all day looking at a computer, working on clients' files, and schedules ..... it's lunchtime!! :-)
Love you!!
Consider yourself lucky that you are not driving the bike in Mexico City! 22.1 million people in a metropolitan area slammed in a valley.
