Cave Buddha in Chiang Rai

Cave Buddha Chiang Rai

The mountains in northern Thailand are limestone, so that means that there are a lot of caves around. This buddha is sitting inside one of them at Tam Luang National Park, just 6 km south of Mae Sai in the Chiang Rai provence. Tham Luang means "Big Cave" and is the name of one particular opening that goes back into the mountain for 800 meters. This buddha was in another cave down the road from Tham Luang.
