I agree with you about Pattaya being my least favorite place in all of Thailand. I really had no interest to even see it, but I decided to see it after coaxing from my Thai guide that I had to see all of Thailand even the bad. I spent a few hours walking along the streets and near the beach and have to say its worth seeing just to say you have seen it. I wouldnt plan on more than a day there and receomend less if you can swing it.
