Swimming in the Rain

I was back swimming in the pool last night after taking most of last week off trying to get over a cold. It was a little bit different this time, however, as rainy season is in full-swing in Bangkok. Last week I used the rain for an excuse not to swim. Wouldn't want to get wet, afterall!

But last night I went for it anyway. I must admit it was a strange sensation to feel the falling rain drops on the bottom on my feet as I flip at the wall, or on the side of my face as I breathe. Or to push off on my back underwater and look up at the small circles of splashing water above me.

Cool .....

expand on this idea, through prose or poetry .... great topic!!

Just don't get struck by lightning!!!

Love you!!

Sounds almost like my swimming in the big outdoor pool in Iceland and watching the snow coming down as flakes until it hit the heat from the volcano-heated water and turned into rain!

HeHe!

SGT, I still haven't figured out the digital camera bit--something that you set up for me last Christmas seems to be not working!

Oh well--I lived without a digital camera for 62 years, so I'll get along.

Love, Dad

Beth: Yes, I was thinking about the lightning as I swam, but I didn't see any so I figured I would be safe. The rain in Bangkok is usually more like rain in San Francisco rather than rain in Florida, i.e., just quiet drizzling rather than loud thunderstorms.

Dad: Oh... nice memory! Running through the snow to jump in the heated outdoor pool in Iceland is one of my favorite memories of my life. You took one picture of me that day that I love: a 19 year old me standing in the snow in my speedo throwing a snowball. What a wonderful trip that was!
